The VIII J.P. Sweelinck International Organ Music Competition

The VIII J.P. Sweelinck International Organ Music Competition will take place between  September 20th – 26th 2012 in Gdansk and in Pruszcz Gdański. In this competition can take part organists who on the day the competition begins are no older than 32 years. For  competition’s laureates are overseen: 1st,2nd, 3rd prize and a special prize for the best performance of the piece of the patron of the competition and invitations for concerts organized by musical institutions in Poland.

prof. Andrzej Chorosiński (Poland), prof. Józef Serafin (Poland), prof. Roman Perucki (Poland, the Competition Director)

Applicants are obliged to send till 31/03/2012 to the secretariat of the competition: registration card, confirmation of payment of the entrance fee, copy of the birth certificate, short description of the artistic activity and CD with recording of the following pieces:

Preludue and fuge in c op.37 nr 1  

Applicants are obliged to pay till 31/03/2012 on the bank account to the Pomeranian Society “Musica Sacra” (PKOPPLPW 49 1240 5396 1111 0000 5380 0738 with footnote ‘Konkurs Organowy’) entrance fee: 150PLN. Entrance fee is not unrepayable. In extraordinary situations, by agreement of the Director of the Competition, candidates could pay the entrance fee just before the competition in the competition office or to pay  a lower entrance fee.

After hearing all recordings, max 24 applicants  will be qualified  for the  I. qualifying selection and they will be informed about this till 31/05/2012.
