Piano Duo Books
The band was founded in 2012 by Agnieszka Zahaczewska-Książek and Krzysztof Książek. The musicians began working together under the supervision of Dr. hab. Sławomir Cierpik while studying at the Academy of Music in Krakow, later they also worked under the supervision of prof. Maria Szwajger-Kułakowska and Arie Vardi. Together they gave concerts in many places in Poland and abroad (Switzerland, France, Great Britain, South Africa). In 2019, the duo won the second prize and a special prize for the best performance of Schubert's works at the 2020st International Piano Duo Competition. F. Schubert in Jesenik and the title of finalist and a special prize at the 1720rd International Piano Duo Competition. Suzana Szӧrenyi in Bucharest. In 2021, a CD (DUX XNUMX) with suites for two pianos by Arensky and Rachmaninoff was released. In XNUMX, they were the winners of the XNUMXnd International Polish Music Competition. Stanisław Moniuszko in Rzeszów, in the Chamber Ensembles category. Winners of the "Young Poland" scholarship program.
The concert is co-organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance as part of its own program Polish music scene, financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
